Journal from a General Store, 1855-1866.

A journal containing accounts of a general merchandise store, possibly in Rockingham County, Va. The volume also contains a list of subscribers to various newspapers and magazines, chiefly 1860, but some continuing through the Civil War. J[edidiah?] Hotchkiss is among the subscribers. In the very back of the volume are two pages of U.S. and C.S.A. post office accounts.
